IA5: Reflect on a guest lecture

Assignment 5 For this assignment I am going to reflect on our guest speaker lecture Cassandra Pan. Cassandra has extensive entrepreneurial and business executive experiences in China, North America and internationally. Between 2009 and 2015, she was the President of Fenner Dunlop Americas in charge of conveyor product and service division in North and South America headquartered in Pittsburgh, U.S.A. She directly manages the sales and service organizations, as well as marketing, product/technology development, innovation, and technical training. Cassandra basically talked about C.E.O’s jobs and responsibilities, and what they actually do in the company. Moreover, she discussed what makes a good C.E.O. and why they're paid a lot of money. IA2: Find a role model

Assignment 2 For this assignment I interviewed a role model that I found in the business department at Chatham. “Did not get the permission to use a name.” The role model’s major is Economics, and he/she is interested in the economy of the US as a whole. And spends lots of time watching   economy news on TV. Moreover, the role model is addicted to social media, and especially Twitter. The role model uses twitter nearly every single day to keep up with the economy news that happens in the US every day. IA4: Practice Professional Networking

Assignment 4 For this assignment, I attended an event that was held on Tuesday (April 10th 2018) sponsoring by the Entrepreneurship Club. The event was basically a meeting with Jordan Robarge, the founder of Revival Chili. Revival Chili is a mission-driven food truck business with a sustainable focus. Jordan basically spoke to the attendees about starting a business within the food industry, while also being sustainable. He mentioned that he started to work on the idea for Revival Chili as far back as the summer of 2015. His idea was that the Chili food truck only hires ex-cons, and sources are produced from local farms and mainly runs off solar panels.
